Social Enterprise
Through its Social Enterprise activities, The Enterprise Team supports businesses which trade for social purposes and use their profits to maximise social, community or environmental benefits.
The support provided is aimed at:
- raising the profile, credibility and awareness of social enterprises
- creating and sustaining new social enterprises
- levering in additional funding
- using and up-skilling local labour
- enhancing links into appropriate networks, training and development opportunities.
LEGI’s Social Enterprise activities include training and support activities on funding and strategic planning, marketing, financial planning and control, PAYE tax/ legal requirements and employment law. The events also provide valuable networking opportunities for Social Enterprises in the area.
